The Imperial City
So much of the Imperial City and the Forbidden Purple City are gone, however work is being done to restore the buildings that are left and we hear that the missing buildings may be reconstructed.

Building just inside the Noon Gate.

A model of the Forbiden Purple City, which is inside the Imperial City, as it looked before the wars.

A window of sorts. It is a large tile which allows air to move while maintaining privacy.

Wood being cut by hand, to be used in the many reconstruction projects in the Imperial City.

In the Emperor's Mother's compound.

In the Emperor's Mother's compound.

In the Emperor's Mother's compound.

In the Emperor's Grandmother's compound.

At the front of the right third of the Forbiden Purple City is a gate to admit those who had business with the Emperor's Mother or Grandmother.

Inside the gate above is this Temple.
The Noon Gate
Notice the wooden A frames that are proping up the roof. Two years ago they were not there.
